Nintendo DSLite is an attractive upgraded version of the popular gaming console Nintendo DS. The console has been designed to make it more portable with the dimensions measuring 5.2 inches (width)×2.9 inches (length)×0.85 inches (height). It is a handheld gaming console with dual screens and the top screen measures 3 inches with the display panel made up of transmissive TFT color LCD with 256×192 pixel resolution. The touch screen is analogues to the top screen with a slight difference in the touch screen.

The console comes equipped with input/Output ports for both Nintendo DS game cards and Game Boy advanced game pack. Then there are terminals that seamlessly connect to stereo headphones and microphones. One of the enticing features of Nintendo DS Lite is embedded PictoChat software which helps a maximum of 16 users in a certain perimeter to stay connected and chat with each other. Other embedded widgets include real time clock; date, time, and alarm and touch screen calibration. User can gain 5-19 hours on the battery backup upon three hours of charging the battery.
